Bios-Ante (The Life Before), presents an experiential journey of sound, butoh-inspired movement and psychedelic colour, performed live by Siilentia in collaboration with visuals by Amy Vowles. Painted in colorful abstract forms, Siilentia (a collaborative duo by Beetle Miyela and Piper Mae), perform live inside a floor-based projected orb-like form; an otherworldly escapism from reality that transports viewers through imaginative realms of fluidity, harmony, and wonder. Bios-Ante presents an expansive yet playful exploration of contemporary abstraction through the intersectional lens of performance and new technology, rooted in participatory experience.

Bios - Ante premiered at Expanse, a solo multi-disciplinary exhibition by Vowles held at Land Street Gallery, Brisbane - Australia. Since then, the project has been featured at Pitch Music and Arts Festival (Melbourne), forming part of Hybrid Habitat - a multi-sensory environment curated by Unite Play Perform.
